Children’s Shop in Farragut selected to host next Small Business Counts Cash Mob

ORNL Federal Credit Union will help The Adorable Child in Farragut celebrate the first day of its Spring Debut on Thursday, January 30th by hosting its next Small Business Counts Cash Mob at the store. The cash mob is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will be the first one held in the heart of Farragut since the program was launched in July last year.

For more than seven years, The Adorable Child and business owners Brad and Judy Hobbs have graced the Farragut community by providing consignment and new fine-label children’s clothing, shoes, toys and accessories in one location for families and friends with adorable children in their lives. In June 2013, Brad and Judy expanded the store’s offerings to include trendy clothing and accessories for young women of all ages, branding a store-within-a-store called Beyond Adorable, which is now located on the store’s third (back) level. The Adorable Child is highly supportive of local designers and fabricators, and is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Online shopping is also available 24 hours a day at www.theadorablechild.com.

At the cash mob event, the first 30 people will receive a $20 gift card to use within the store, courtesy of ORNL Federal Credit Union. Limit one per family or couple. Other special offers will also be available this night only.

The Small Business Counts Cash Mob program was created in July 2013 as a way to recognize and show support for local merchants, like The Adorable Child, in the 16 counties that ORNL FCU serves by encouraging people to shop locally during a given date and time. The program includes the promotion and support of one or two local businesses each month and will continue throughout 2014.

For more information about the Small Business Counts program or to nominate a local merchant, supporters can visit www.SmallBusinessCounts.com. There is no requirement for the business to be a member of ORNL Federal Credit Union to be selected for a cash mob. Details of future cash mobs are made available approximately one week in advance of each event.
