Area’s first event presented by ORNL Federal Credit Union
Knoxville, Tenn. – East Tennessee’s housing industry has seen a slow but positive turn over the last few years, which is one reason why many local real estate and home building experts are pointing towards 2014 as a potential barometer for the market for the next decade. The Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville (HBAGK) is optimistic about what 2014 could hold for the industry, and has strategically chosen to host its annual Home Show™ (Knoxville’s longest running home show) earlier than ever this year to help local home builders and home owners take advantage of the opportunities that are out there.
The HBAGK Home Show™ presented by ORNL Federal Credit Union will be held January 24-26, 2014 at the Knoxville Convention Center in Downtown Knoxville and will once again feature the experience, advice and innovation of some of the most reputable, contributing members of the local home building community. Considered by many to be Knoxville’s “real” home show, it is a three-day event focused strictly on building, remodeling, decorating, maintaining and improving homes in a unique, creative environment.
“The Home Show was created 62 years ago with the primary purpose of connecting people in the local community who are looking for ‘real’ answers and sound advice,” said Scott Davis, President of the HBAGK. “That mission continues to drive us, and it’s evident in our shows. In a year as important as this, you won’t find a local home show with more trusted builders, remodelers, trade professionals, and suppliers.”
The HBAGK Home Show is produced by the Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville and sanctioned by the National Association of Home Builders, adding to its credibility and reputation. The Show’s floor plan includes multiple roomscapes demonstrating unique design trends for various rooms and layouts, a plush bath and slab shower design, a modern outdoor living and storage space, a deck design center, and various exhibits showcasing the latest home related products and services.
New this year, exhibitors and industry professionals are invited to participate in the Show’s “Industry Night” on Friday, January 24. Dale Akins, president of The Market Edge, a housing market research firm based in Knoxville, will present a housing market overview including the top producing builders of 2013 and a forecast of what to expect this year.
The HBAGK Home Show will be open on Friday, January 24 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, January 26 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Daily adult tickets are $10 and children get in free. Discounted tickets are also available for purchase online at www.hbaknoxville.com or www.therealhomeshow.com.
