LaFollette Eye ClinicLaFollette Eye Clinic is a nationally recognized clinic whose mission is to provide patients with the highest quality eye care available anywhere. In 2014, LaFollette Eye Clinic moved into a new home, a 10,000 square foot facility featuring a look and feel unlike any physicians’ office in the area. Drs. Andy and Elizabeth Howard, owners of the practice since 2002, wanted to create a place that would keep local residents in the area and save them from traveling for their vision care and eyewear. As the new location gains more prominence and notoriety, more visitors from around the region are making the trip to LaFollette. The design theme of LaFollette Eye Clinic’s new facility was a “Celebration of Vision”. It is celebrated because of the look and feel of the vibrant color scheme found throughout the building and has been compared to some of the most well-known brands in the world. The clinic selected Ackermann to assist with media relations and preparations for the grand opening.
Ackermann provided a full range of public relations and media relations to help the clinic achieve its national notoriety. We secured national thought leadership for the clinic with several media hits, including CBS, NBC and ABC TV affiliates, as well as Optometrist Management magazine, Eyecare Business magazine and Review of Optometry magazine. Ackermann also designed the new logo and revamped their website to attract more patients. Additionally, we managed the clinic’s social media accounts and were active in maintaining a well-known online presence.
In 2015, INVISION, a national magazine for American eye care professionals, selected LaFollette Eye Clinic as one of “America’s Finest Optical Retailers”. This distinction comes less than a year after the clinic’s move to a new facility and location. A panel of judges selected the winners from around the country based on interior design, individuality, exterior design and website.
