University Radiology expands reach into new regional markets

Knoxville, Tenn. – University Radiology, P.C. is extending its radiology services to Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.

On September 1, 2016, the Knoxville-based radiology group will being offering daytime and after-hours radiology support coverage to Lonesome Pine Hospital and Mountain View Regional Medical Center. With the addition of the these two hospitals, University Radiology now provides specialty radiology services to four hospitals in the Wellmont Health System, including 24 hours a day, 365 days a year coverage at Hawkins County Memorial Hospital and Hancock County Hospital.

“These new partnerships allow our expert physicians to serve citizens in rural areas of our region,” said Michael Langenberg, the group’s Executive Director. “This regional growth also allows us to extend the reach of our other clinical partners, specifically The University of Tennessee Medical Center.”

Earlier this month, University Radiology formalized a partnership with Laughlin Memorial Hospital and Trek Radiology to provide 24 hours a day, 365 days a year radiology coverage for patients in Greeneville, Tennessee. For more information, visit www.utrad.com.
