KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – June 19, 2020 – Now more than ever, we could all use an escape. As the days get longer and summer rolls in, Treehouse Grove at Norton Creek is the perfect mountain getaway to reconnect and explore the outdoors.
Treehouse Grove is a quaint, family-owned treetop escape located at the doorstep of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Gatlinburg, Tenn., where eight luxurious, custom-designed treehouses await you. With names like “The Magnolia,” “The Dogwood,” and “The Poplar,” the treehouses give visitors the chance to stay among the trees and take in views more beautiful than ever thought possible.
Treehouse Grove was created as Joe, Carole, and Joseph Ayres, with their Tennessee ties dating back five generations, decided to take their passion for real estate and create a lodging experience unlike any other in the Southeast. The Ayres family partnered with Pete Nelson, who is famously known for “Treehouse Masters,” his hit television series on Animal Planet. He carefully selected the trees, location and designed each of the treehouses to create an unparalleled lodging experience.
“Once you’ve seen them, it is hard not to recall your childhood daydreams of living and playing in a treehouse like the ones Pete has created at Treehouse Grove,” said Joseph Ayres. “Our treehouses give guests the chance to experience the outdoors in a way they never have before. There’s nothing that compares to the Treehouse Grove experience.”
These are not your typical treehouses. All eight treehouses are two-bedroom, one-bath, and can accommodate up to four guests. Each has all the modern amenities you’d expect, or might not expect in a treehouse, including a porch or balcony, television and internet access.
According to Ayres, while you explore the Great Smoky Mountains surrounding the treehouses, Treehouse Grove also introduces its guests to the art of creek-sitting.
“Creek-sitting is just how you envision it; taking a chair and sitting in the middle of the beautiful creek that runs through Treehouse Grove,” explains Ayres. “While you creek-sit, you can enjoy a glass of wine, read a book, or just relax as the cold mountain water runs across your toes.”
Treehouse Grove not only provides guests the opportunity to explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, but it’s also close to the heart of both downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. With attractions like Dollywood, The Island in Pigeon Forge, Ole Smoky Moonshine, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, Titanic Museum Attraction, Beyond the Lens, and many more, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
“You are away from it all, yet in the middle of it all,” said Ayres. “One day you can hike through one the most majestic National Parks in the country, and the next you can go into downtown Gatlinburg and enjoy a hearty breakfast and explore local shops.”
Although having only been open since March of 2020, Treehouse Grove has been recognized as one of the country’s most unique getaways, according to outlets like Business Insider, Southern Living, Simplemost, Wide Open Country, Fox 17 Nashville, The Charlotte Observer, and It’s a Southern Thing, among others.
