12. Chancellor of The University of Tennessee Knoxville, Donde Plowman

On this episode of Sweet Tea & Strategy, Cathy Ackermann sits down with Dr. Donde Plowman to discuss her role as the ninth Chancellor for The University of Tennessee Knoxville. She has returned to Rocky Top after nine years at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

In her short time at the university thus far, Plowman has made it a point to be accessible to faculty, students and the community, and wants to share the "Volunteer Way" with everyone.

“We’ve got a great story to tell and we’ve started telling it, and we’re going to get better at it,” said Plowman.

Plowman believes that "leadership is the courage to act." She wants all UT students to leave with more than a degree.-- They will be equipped with the knowledge and confidence to go out and change the world.
