Mary Martin named Branch Sales Manager
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – June 15, 2020 – SmartBank has opened its newest branch in Alcoa, Tenn., located at 109 Associates Blvd in Springbrook Corporate Center.
“Adding this location in Alcoa allows us to widen our footprint in Blount County and provide our area clients the opportunity to visit the location most convenient for them,” said Mike Honeycutt, SmartBank’s East Tennessee Regional President. “We’re excited to have the opportunity to take part in the continued economic growth in the area and look forward to a bright future with multiple locations in Blount County.”
Along with the opening of the new branch, SmartBank has hired Mary Martin, who will serve as branch sales manager of the Alcoa location. She will play a key leadership role in the continued growth and development of the bank’s presence in Alcoa and Blount County.
“Mary will oversee all of the branch’s operational functions and will be vital to leading our team and servicing our clients in the area,” said Honeycutt. “She has a strong track record of success in fostering long-term client relationships, and I have no doubt she will do the same in her new role with SmartBank.”
Prior to joining SmartBank, Martin served as a business/commercial lender with Y-12 Federal Credit Union. She also previously worked in business development for Lewis Group Architects and BarberMcMurry Architects.
Martin is a Knoxville native and is very active in the East Tennessee community. She serves on the Blount County Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors, the Tennessee Valley Fair Foundation Board of Directors, and the Community School of the Arts Board of Directors.
